Jordan Auctioneers successfully sold 104 acres by Public Auction on Monday last. Before a large attendance of about 60 people the entire was offered for sale in several lots before being sold in its entirety for a price of €1,850,000 to a local farming family. Before a crowd of about 20 people the property was Auctioned on the lands and bidding was a two-horse race from the outset to the very end. Opening at €400,000 bidding continued up to €600,000 before the property was placed ‘on the market’ but that was really only the start of the process with the same two parties battling it out all the way to €830,000 before the hammer dropped. Equating to an overall figure of just over €18,000 per acre which was an exceptional result.
